I have been reading about the different hardeners you can use with the
west system epoxy and for this type of application it seems to me that
the 207 hardener would be the one to use.  Has anyone that has done this
before tell me it that is the one they used or not and how well it
worked?

Hi Chris,

Unless you're looking to show off the balsa grain, I would go with the
206 hardener. Its a lot cheaper, and has better bond strength. I use
the West over glass cloth in a vacuum-bag/prepainted mylar setting, so
the extra clarity is not important. 205 and 206 can easily be
thickened with silica (406) so they're much more versitile, besides
easier to get at the local boat store.
