On 11/12/2003 3:30 PM Ted shuffled out of his cave and grunted these
great (and sometimes not so great) words of knowledge:

If by "run" you mean run, check the fuel tank height in relation to the
carb.

If by "run" you mean start, you will need more juice than a "hotshot"
provides.  I use a glo connector and run it off the power panel and also
set my voltage to the upper end of the green on the meter for my
inverted engines.  You also need to be careful about "flooding" the glo
plug and/or hydrolocking.

From my experience with MDS,you're lucky if it rus right side up!

cos it's sh*te... I smashed up a brand new MDS 38 with a lump hammer for
this very reason... go to my site and look in "Brutality Corner" I suggest

We have several guys at our field that have the MDS engines.  They run fine.  A
bit finiky though.  I watched one fly yesterday with an MDS.  You should try a
hotter plug or/and running the engine a little lean on the low end.  Fuel tends
to cool the plug more when engines are mounted upside down. Kind of a gravity
thing.  Eddie Fulmer
