Hey all,
I have been in search for a long time, a flyable or kit of the German, WW1
Albatross. Not interested in the new foam jobs but something that will be
able to use a 4 stroke engine.
Let me know.

I'm not entirely sure, but I believe I saw a plan for one on E-bay
last night. I realize its not a kit, but it would be a starting point.

Try Fun Aero R/C on the web - 60" DII and 65" DIII - laser cut kits - I've
heard good things about the kits but have no personal experience with them.

I have had no experience with Funaero's Albatros, but have built their
.60 size SE5a and can recommend this kit highly. They'll have to pry
this one out of my col, dead fingers. Sometime in the future, I'd
like to build the Albatros III.

Proctor Enterprises has the Albatross. A bit pricey but their kits are well
worth it.

Agreed. The Proctor kit builds a very fine Albatross. It is considered
museum scale. However, you must be committed to spending many months
to build it. In these days of ARF planes, there aren't many who seem to
be taking on projects of this scale.

I agree, Proctor kits are the next thing to building a real albatross.
Myself, I was hoping to find a sport scale Albatross when I posted this.
Maybe one that someone has lost interest in. I found one fellow that has a
nice scale kit for sale, and am concidering it, but it really wasn't what I
was after.
Anyone have a sport scale, NOT FOAM, DII to DV Albatross kit or partial
build they wish to part with, please contact me.
Thanks

I would second the advice for the Fun Aero kit (http://www.funaero.com/). I
have not built one, but I know one of the designers, and his planes tend to
be light, well built, and fly well. They have 2 Albatross versions (D.II
and D.III), which would work well with 90-91 size 4 strokes.

I marked the web page and have been drolling on them since you posted.
Thankyou. Still looking for somthing that someone might have lost interest
in. If all else fails, then I will go that way. Then have to find a 90-91
four stroke.

Fun-Aero has a nice 60" kit.less than $200 I believe.Arizona has a 1/4
scale kit for 4xs that.Another option is a set of 1/4 scale DII(or DIII)
plans featured a year ago in a British mag,Scale international........I have
the magazine buried in attic, and could find it if necessary. The early
Albatross they built from those plans was VERY nice, and described as very
docile.........a little different than typical DVa.
