Thanks gents.
I looked at the 6XAS manual which describes the elevon function. Also found
the 6A manual which does not have the elevon function but has flaperon. I
was just wondering if that would serve my needs by switching the plugs on
the receiver somehow.
Guess not.
Do I understand that I can get a SimpleMix plug to mate the aileron to the
elevator ? Just another $30 which beats having to buy a whole new
transmitter.

If you are using dual ailerpn servos, then... Maybe. If you aere using a
single aileron servo, forget it. with one servo, one aileron will always go
up when the other goes down. nothing you can do about that. if you are using
two servos, then you may be able to apply mixing of your aileron channels to
the elevator, but I don't know how on a 6A.
Hope this helps.

I'm using two servos on the Zagi.
The hobby shop guy that told me about the SimpleMix has a record of accuracy
at about 50%. This time he seems to be on the + side. I did a little
research on the net yesterday and found instructions for a Thunder Tiger V
Bat. It requires a 2 or 3 channel radio with mixing or use of an onboard
SimlpeMix for the mixing. The instructions say "the SimpleMix plugs
between the receiver and the servos to electrically mix two channels for
elevon, V-Tail or CAR applications".
So I guess the $30 will be a good investment.
Thanks again.
