The plane in these pictures is air vehicle number 1, a prototype on
board the USS Washington for catapult fit checks. Not yet made public,
the F/A-37 is a Mach 3.5, super cruise stealth
fighter/bomber/interceptor with a 4000nm range. Top speed is
classified, some where in the Mach 4 plus range. Awesome! Also, there
is no phase interval for this plane. It has a 10,000 hour life
airframe and engines that require replacement only at failure or signs
of trouble. The squadrons are to be out of Whidbey Island, 12 plane to
a command.

Let's do a little closer look at some of these pics!
http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v343/DuncanKunz/
Check out the close up of the canopy. Notice the fit of the front canopy
frame to the fuselage? Even before Mach 4 the slip stream would rip that
canopy off.
Let's do a little more looking! Try the hazy shot of the planes front
quarter with all the (Ahem!) catapult steam. Notice the markings of one of
the planes in the background. Big red numbers on the nose like those found
on Russian planes? Granted, could be the aggressor squadron but, what kind
of plane is that with those red markings? Looks like an 18 to me
but................
Now how about the close up of the front office! A GIRL!!! Not saying that
can't happen but, if this is a "test" aircraft, how many female "test"
pilots are out there? And if it's so secret, since when do they paint the
pilots name on under the canopy on black project aircraft? And where'd she
get that flight helmet? Never have seen one like that.
Good movie prop IMHO! Wonder what the name of the flick is? May want to
see it.
