I could say much both pro and con about our relationship with Japan in this
day and age but suffice to say we now have many other threats much more
dangerous and I'm not sure if some of the biggest threats to this great
 nation of ours aren't ourselves.
However this is a hobby newsgroup about model airplanes and my question
 still hasn't really been answered.
If it helps the kit says it is for .60to .80 engines and has a top
wingspan
 of around 58 inches.
Any advice on this would be much appreciated .

I know nothing of Royal kits.
As far as "any advice"....her goes:
Use the ASP.  you don't have to use full throttle but you have it if you
need it.  Worried about weight?  I have seen many bipes need extra weight up
front.  Make provisions as you build to put the Rx Batt in the tail.  I put
an MVVS 91 with a tuned pipe in a GP super skybolt and still needed weight
up front.
Mike says "just do it"
or was that nike?

I'm building a Royal Pitts Special (35 yr old kit), modified with
ailerons on both the top and bottom wings. For what it's worth, I opted
for a .91 four stroke for the nose weight and the ease of mounting a
muffler. Couldn't devise a way to mount a conventional muffler or
"Pitts" style muffler without cutting away a big chunk of the fuselage
or cowling.
