Hello all,
I recently  bought a .40 sized plane  and it came with  this
engine...  I have to do some RX changing  before i can get it into the
air.Has any one ever used one of these  engines?  good luck with it?
bad luck with it?  I think this engine came out before  the FX line  I
am just curious....
thanks..Gig

The FSR series represents OS' finest moment, as far as I'm concerned. After
the FSR came the SF, then the SR and then the FX and AX series.

I still  have a couple of these engines...one is over twenty five
years old and a real fine runner....too bad they don't make it any
more...kinda like my "Schwartz's Law of Life #1;  Everything good gets
discontinued..."  And this particular engine was, as was said, oneof
the very best.......

I run an OS .32 FSR on a Fun-Fly and it is an outstanding engine, not only in
the power/weight department but in the easy-to-operate department as well.
And it has a wide power band (if not piped, anyway) to boot.

One of the better, older OS engines - that make the FX fiasco that much more
glaring...

Ditto on what Ed , Frank and daytripper said. I was flying
RC when the FSR series came out.....kinda dates me , don't it.
Great engines. I remember running an OS 25 FP on a
Midwest Little Stik. Bought a 25 FSR and it was unbelievable
how it lit a fire under that little airplane.  I could hardly believe
the increase in power over the FP.

The FSR designation , IIRC , meant Front carburetor" , Schnuerle
porting and Rotor intake. Not 100% sure about the R , so if thats
wrong maybe one of you can correct me.
