I thought model trains were a religion. Every Saturday at various Model
Train Temples I (along with many others) make large cash offerings, in
return the monks give various goods to help me construct my model train
shrine in the spare room. The shrine that will certainly never quite be
finished.
We even have fanatics in our religion, men who spend countless hours
debating the true colours of that ancient wagon. They will quote
various ancient scriptures refered to by strange abbreviations such as
AMRM, ARHS, AJRM etc. or recall divine sightings in far away lands
beyond the Great Divide.
Others will count rivets and denounce as heretics those who disagree.
There are even some secular authorities, one notorious one being known
as the Detail Police ;-)

My G gauge garden homage to the now long gone railways of Tasmania's west
coast, the "Rurr Valley Railway" http://www.cia.com.au/bullack/rvrtitle.html
also http://www.cia.com.au/bullack/ , where the steam era NSWGR secondary
lines live on in HO at bucolic "Lambing Flat"
and http://members.optusnet.com.au/lambingflat/ for the family stuff!
