No. Try Johnsons' One-Go as a substitute.
It's not actually a wax ,but an acrylic sealer which gives a glossy hard
finish when dry.

The bottle that I have, bought in Melb. is called 'Pledge One Go',
Johnson name in tiny letters on the label. White plastic bottle, blue label,
blue cap. Works excellently on acrylic paints with one coat, enamels seem to
require two or more coats to get full gloss finish.

                                       Bill.

Further to 'One Go', it seems that the Yank equivalent 'Fortune', is
colourless, whereas 'One Go' is slightly tinted, apparently to prevent
people mistaking it for water and drinking it.
This means that one has to be carefull when using it on white surfaces,
there could be a slight change in the surface colour.
                       Regards,
                                           Bill.

That's what bothered me about 'One Go'. It had a very milky
appearance, as well as quite a strong ammonia smell.

I think that I'll wait until I get some American vistors, and they can
bring in a few bottles of the real stuff.

Looking into my bottle of 'One Go' it is about chardonnay colour, not
milky, and with a slight ammoniacal smell, which does not show up on
application. I've been quite satisfied with the local product for about two
years or so.
Try it out on something and make your decision on the results obtained.
                           Regards,
