This years Epping club exhibition is pretty good and well worth the visit.

Some very nice model railways on display including "Dungog" which I had not
seen before.

If you are looking for something to do whilst you are there try counting how
many NRs are to be seen running on the layouts and in how many different
paint schemes.

Might go back on Monday for another look.

Went to Epping today.  Quite a good exhibition.

Particularly enjoyed Dungog, Brunswick Park, Illabo, and (to my suprise
because I am not normally into this sort of thing) Nine Mile.

I actually got around the exhibition only seeing 2 Ghan NR's and a SeaLink
NR working, all three on Brunswick Park, although looking at the switching
yards on a couple of layouts there were many. many more - Austrains would
have been proud!!

Cheers

I can guess as the basis of the Dungog and Illabo layouts, but what
are Brunswick Park and Nine Mile based on?  What scale are these
layouts?

Brunswick Park is based on Strathfield.
Nine Mile is a fictitious logging line, narrow gauge aussie.

It is quite recognisable too with the bridges over Parramatta Road and the
Arnott's factory!  It was a little strange though seeing the Ghan heading
towards Concord West!

And is part of the Broughton Vale Tramway, set in the Illawarra.  The
program says it is exhibited by John Dimitrievich.  If anyone has an email
address for John, can you contact me off line

More like North Strathfield, I would have thought!
