Has anyone seen anything of the CLPs?  Any pre-production photos of the models?
Who knows what we are getting and when?  Are the models going to be available in the
orange and black livery?  What about the green, yellow and silver?
Y'know, I really like that green, yellow and silver. Very snappy.

Another question:
What are the "Steel S trucks" on the 930 class? Any photo references to compare steel
S trucks with the other kind?
Remember, I'm 16,000 kilometres away (from Adelaide), so I can't run out and have a
look<g>

CLP's - http://homepage.idx.com.au/austrain/CLP.htm , one would expect pics
of the test samples pretty soon.

"Steel S trucks" have nothing to do with the 930's, see
http://home.pacific.net.au/~tomshobbys/steelS.html for the details.

OK Great. First I had to learn to call them wagons instead of cars and now I find
that they are also called trucks.

When is it a truck and not a wagon? Or vice versa.

I shoulda known better. Trucks here are bogies there, so something called a truck
there would not be a bogie. It's all becoming very clear.

Yes. 4 wheel freight wagons were usually called trucks over here in Oz,
although with the disappearance of such rollingstock the ones with bogies
(ie trucks in the US) are usually called wagons, although freight car is
becoming fairly common.

Hopes this clears it up.

Cheers

John has me on standby to do an update on the pre-production samples of
the CLP, as they are expected to arrive any day now.

Once they arrive photos will be up on the page as soon as humanly possible.

Watch the skies.... (uhh, I mean the newsgroup..... ;-)
