Received my Trainorama 44 in the post yesterday and must say I am very
impressed with the standard of detail for a plastic RTR. It looks
fantastic and very detailed.

Great work guys............Best regards............Paul P

Hi Paul
I'm glad to hear that the 44's are still arriving.  I was starting to worry
about where mine are.  I won't harass them just yet then.  Don't want to get
shifted to the end of the queue...

Although I wasnt there myself to see it, I'm told that a few weekends
ago, on the first club running day after they were available, there were
heaps of the new Trainorama 44's being tried out on the club layout (AMRA
Mortdale). One member had four, another had eleven, others had unspecified
multiple numbers of these locos.....am told the shop was full of people
picking up theirs (may be a slight exaggeration)......
Was recently re-reading the Austrains newsletter where it was announced
the 44 project would not go ahead due to lack of interest. What changed in
the intervening years? Back then I remember some saying it wouldnt be a goer
because of the much cheaper Lima 44. I heard it this time, too. Having seen
the new model and watched it in operation, I'm very impressed and may change
my mind about giving this one a miss! It is exquisite.
