Just bought a YS91ST to run in my Vigor.

Anyone using a combo like this ? Any tips regards setup  if the answer is
yes ?

Just waiting for shop to get my muscel pipe II in and some 710 blades and
will be ready to hit the field.

Cheers

Hi Tim.
i think 710 's will be too long ,try 690's.
cheers

I am running 710's on my fury with a YS91, and they are spot on. 690's are
really for 60's

Just run the engine rich for the first few tanks, and always run the engine
dry after running, otherwise you will never be able to start it again,
without taking the plug out. Also after the flight pull the pressure line to
depressurize the tank. A fuel line clamp is also a good idea.

A McCoy no.9 is perfect, an Enya no.3 is good, but is better for lower
nitro, around 25% ish

What fuel are you going to use?

Hi Stu.
Reason i say 690's for a vigor is main blade / tail blade overlap. Agree
710's  would be better for a ninety but you may chop the blade with overlap
.If anyone knows if you can get away with 710's let me know and i will
change also.
cheers

Ah, that explains it

I have one in a fury, and the 710's go a bomb.

Is there an overspeeding issue on the smaller blades? or is a governor a
necessity?

Thanks everyone for the replies, Stu I will be running powermaster with 30%
nitro which worked fine in my OS61WC in the Ergo I just sold, I assume that
will be ok in the YS !! I was also thinking of giving Klotz oil a go too,
also ran that in the OS and never had a problem..

Anne MArie, I have a mate running a Vigor with an OS91 in it and he is
running 710 main blades with no problem ! But I will double check that I
will have enough clearance, thanks for the hint :)

Tomorrow the pipe will be here, just got to mount that and double check on
the blade issue and should be ready to give it a go.

Again, thanks for the ideas.

I run Klotz in a YS 61ST-2 and it loves it.
It can give you brown stains on the muffler if you run it too hot.

710's and 105 tails are just great with ys91 on a Vigor CS. My YS is just
starting to break in, oh the smooth power!!
