Russ Deakin's "Model Helicopter Aerobatics" will take you from basic well
into 3D and is more up to date in technological info and current set up
trends then is Ray's latest. But Ray's is still a viable alternative.

Even though it can't be denied that Ray's Manual does go into great detail,
at the same time I found it to be almost obsessive in some areas.
For example, I couldn't even imagine buying a brand new heli engine off the
shelf and then taking it apart to check all measurements. ???
So don't be surprised if you find yourself asking why you're even bothering
to read some sections.
