Noob? I have honeybee elc heli, when I bought it I made a mistake an
got mode 1. I have 2 other controllers a Futaba T6HX and a JR Xp642. I
there a way to use 1 of them to control the elct heli. Oh the Futab
runs channel 60 /  72.990 MHZ, the 27 / JR 72.330 and the honeybe
controller 72.870 cant seem to find what channel. Any help would b
great. Thank you.  :confused

A table of 72 MHz channels can be found here

http://www.indoorduration.com/rcfrequency.htm

Your transmitters are:

Futaba        -   60
JR               -    27
Honeybee   -   54

My guess is that the Futaba will work fine and the JR not - see later.

Things to watch for:

(a) Receiver crystal size - Some are full size some are half size depending
on make of receiver.  If you decide to replace the receiver crystal then
this is important.

(b)  PPM or PCM - I would guess that the radio for the honeybee is PPM and
not PCM.  In the unlikely event that it is PCM then neither of your other
transmitter will work.

(c) Single or Dual Conversion - Assuming the radio is PPM then the receiver
can be single or dual convesrion.  My guess is that it is single conversion.
If you decide to change the receiver crystal then make sure you get the
right type.

(d) PPM Signal Type - There are at least two different formats of PPM
signal.  I call them Futaba and JR though there is probably a more technical
name.  Basically a JR transmitter wont work with a Futaba receiver and vice
versa.  I'd put money that it conforms to Futaba because this is by far the
most common being used by (Futaba, Hitec, Airtronics, Sanwa to name but a
few).  JR are pretty much on their own.

So I reckon you've got a single conversion, PPM, Futaba style which means
you have thwo options

(a) Put a 54 crystal in your Futaba (Easiest)
(b) Put a 60 crystal in your honeybee receiver (Hardest because you need to
make sure you get the right size and conversion type)

Cheers,

Nigel

another option is to convert the tranmitter take the back off swap the pots
over between the two sticks  swap the spring and the  ratchet over and your
done takes about 20 mins I have just done this as I cannot get my futaba FF9
to work the Esky RX I am in the UK so it might be the wrong shift over here

What exactly is a T6HX?  Is that a new TX?  or did you mean T6XH?
If you meant T6XH, then you should be able to change the tx mode
in the PARAMeters submenu, or at least my old 6XA can.  And it's
not even a Super.  Just remember to turn your TX off then back on
after you make the change.

If you really meant T6HX ... then what I just said is not applicable
(at least I don't know if it's applicable).

Thanks,
tippy

if you can change mode ( I don't use that model)pcm is different between
makes a Futaba PCM wont work a Hitec or JR not because its PCM signal , its
the way the signal is encoded the receiver just does not understand what its
supposed to be doing its a bit like a foreign language you here what the
other person is saying but you just don't understand it
