To All,

I am considering the purchase of a 4 Stroke heli and am looking for input
regarding personal ownership with/or knowledge of the following brands:

Miniature Aircraft
Bergen
Vario (both the 4 takt .90 and the Boxer 1.60)

Any responses will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Jack

Hi Jack,

I'm not up on Vario as far as 4-strokes are concerned.  I've seen 4-strokes
in MA and Bergen machines through the years but it's been a "long" time.
Miniature Aircraft doesn't make any mention of a 4-stroke kit in their web
site, http://www.x-cellrchelicopters.com/Store/index.asp, but I'm pretty
sure you could get the parts you need (motor mounts and appropriate gearing)
to convert most of their kits to 4-stroke operation.

Bergen, on the other had, still lists the Intrepid kits in a 4-stroke
version.  (http://www.bergenrc.com/Intrepid60.asp)  Again, I've haven't seen
one in a very long time but at least they're still advertising them.

FWIW!

Good Luck & Fly Safe,
Steve R.

I had an Xcell pro II with the YS91 & it was a very nice model indeed.
It flew as good as it's 60 two stroke version in my opinion.
A friend of mine had the Vario Boxer with the OS Gemini twin but a good
engine setting always seemed a struggle & hence the model was sold although
it did sound really nice.
