Are there any heli clubs in the Wigan (Lancs) area please. > Are there any heli clubs in the Wigan (Lancs) area please. There used to be one at Hindley Green Mr. It were at t'back of t' school near t' main traffic leets. On t'left coming from Bowton end. You could try asking at "Norhwest Models" too (if they're still around). The used to be right AT the lights at Hindley Green, or more precisely just behind them. Go through the lights towards Wigin and take your first right and the next first right (two rights , no wrongs). The shop used to be above another shop, about half way down on your right, but I'm buggered if I can remember what kind of shop. It's only a little street though so you should be able to find it. I've often seen RC flying in the fields opposite the Great Universal Warehouse (Martland)/Renault Dealer on the way to Robin Park/Asda. Never stopped to find out whether it is just informal or a proper club though. Cheers, Nigel |
