Hi Beav,
I have a JR R700 receiver but I cannot find out if it uses SC or DC
crystals.
Do you happen to know?

Looking here:
http://www.macgregor.co.uk/radio/receivers.htm
it appears to be a single conversion RX, only the R1000DS is dual
conversion. Usually with something like DC you'll find the words printed on
the RX case like JR's ABC&W system for interference rejection.
If you want to be 100% certain contact Macgregor on Tuesday and ask them
they are the UK importers.

Yeah, no :-) It's a single conversion Rx that unless they've brought out a
new one with an old name.
