Will 8 AA NiMH batteries suffice in the transmitter?

I just ordered a RotoFly.  Can't wait for it to arrive.  The transmitter is
a 4-Channel by Futaba.  It takes 8 AA batteries.  Will NiMH batteries work
okay?

no problem with NiMh in the TX
