I have a brand new Trex -SE
I've run about 5 charges through it.
Today I was practicing nose in hover and the at an altitude of about 2 ft the
helicopter went wild. After I got it shut down I noticed that the swash plate inner
had seperated from the bearing.
Has anyone else had the TREX swash plate seperate?
I went to the local hobby shop and bought replacement parts:
Main blades,
Tail roter blades,
Main Gear
So I called the align telephone number and asked about swash plate seperation.
they claim that the failure is from too much negative swash plate travel.
I'm not yet doing 3D so I only have about 1 deg of negative pitch, so I don't think thats it.
They made no offer of new parts or any sign of giving a damm that their high end
copter fails due their part failing. I'm rather POed that after buying the best of the best align
high end helicopter I'm now buying parts for a reason other than my own incompetence.
The Trex seems to come highly reccomended, but so far I'm not impressed.

But did the swash separate after the 'hard landing'.......or is this your
first glitch.....which caused the 'hard landing'.....which caused the
separation??
I've had my share of glitches.....and Trex does go 'wild'.......along with
the attempted recovery.
