Hello
I've always fancied having a go at flying a heli so last xmas I
treated myself to a Walkera 22e, ready to fly so the advert
said - how wrong!
I did look at all the relevant web sites in order to find out
what all the bits did, up to now I have managed to take off twice
& crash twice, each crash progressively more expensive than the
last, it would have been cheaper to have bought two helis.
I didn't realise that you need eight pair of hands & fighter
pilots brain.
However I do intend to persevere & although I have been using
ehirobo.com for spares they have the best prices I can find but
the shipping can be more than the bits.
I live in Herefordshire UK & wonder does anyone know were I could
buy parts either locally or cheaper online.
I have managed to repair some of the items i.e. brass ball joints
for the blade holders & fly bar holder.
Also are there any clubs around here where I could get a bit of
tuition. I'm only interested in basic flying not 3d.
I have learnt a lot just reading the many messages & replies on
this newsgroup, just getting of the deck & a short hover is my
ultimate goal.
Any info/advise would very much appreciated.
Many thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,

I have just started flying a helicopter. My first flights are with a

chrash. A few days ago, I have bought http://www.realflight.com/ for more
advanced flying experiments and learning to fly nose in. It saved me a lot
of spares.

Have fun,
Michiel

Thanks Michiel
Sorry I'm late replying but my outlook express has lost the ability to
comunicate with newsgroups - technology!!!!!!!!!!
I think I may end up going down the computer simulator route although I
am determined not to be beaten by it. I have saved a few quid by
repairing the damaged bits ie things like ball joints which I acquired
off ebay £3.00 for 6, great for repairing blade & flybar holders.
Probably best of all has been structural super glue which I used for
the main frame & tail boom. Mending it has been almost as much fun as
trying to fly it.
Best Wishes
Paul
