Does anyone have any experience with flight stabilization devices such as
the CPD4 or FS8 Co-pilots from FMA Direct? If so, how well did they perform
for you?

A pal of mine used one for a fairly long time and he swore by it. It saved
him a LOT of cash on repairs and he said it was more than worth the money,
so it's safe to assume it worked.
