Welp, after a couple weeks of assembly, setup and much outlay of cash,
I spooled up the new Trex yesterday and "pulled pitch".  She came
right up into a nice stable hover with no vibration and the tail JUST
wanted to rotate right a bit.  Tracking was off a touch, but I went
ahead and flew an entire battery (10 mins) with some aggressive
collective "punches" to see how the gyro would react (rock solid) and
a couple hovering piros to see how well it'd stop the tail (on a dime)
I even got to 1 handed hover once I got a little air under her.  Pics
are in my helifreaks.com gallery -

It was a bit breezy and even a left crosswind didn't require too much
effort ot hold the bird steady.  Very nice flyer indeed.  I've got a
couple small issues to resolve with my pitch curves but I think she's
going to be a joy to fly once I get her dialed in.

Now, to get the Rappy flying!!
