Well that's what I thought too Ian. But I think that's not the case.
Today I bought a new battery pack plus a larger capacity pack (1600 mAh
- double the standard pack supplied). These both suffer the same
problem. You get a few minutes of proper flight and then the heli will
barely get off the ground, even with full throttle.
Anyone any other ideas?
Cheers.

any of the rotors even slightly damaged?

For some reason people always thinks its the battery pack that's at fault
when the flight times drop. Unfortunately they never consider it could be
something else like binding on the inner or outer shafts, motor gear mesh is
to tight on the main gear, the motors have lost performance or the 4 in 1
(or 3 in 1) unit has a fault.
Reading another post a few up from this (See Nov 25) a Blade CX owner has
had the same problem and it was 4 in 1 unit at fault.
Cheers

Thanks Richard (and Ian for the previous post).
Yes, I do appreciate that other factors can affect flight duration. I
have checked most of the points you mention and all check out OK.
Oddly, the situation seemed to ease somewhat and flight times seemed
better. Then I had a heavy crash! The result is that I am waiting for
some spares to arrive before I can continue.
One thought that did occur to me: Is it possible that the rotor pitch
is a little too shallow? I guess this would have the effect of making
the motors turn faster for a given lift, thus shortening battery life?
Just a thought. Anyway, I'm grounded until a new set of top rotors
arrive.....
Cheers.

Twister medivac is fixed pitch. It does have two sets of rotors?
Surprisingly minor damage to the rotors badly affected the lift and
stability. make sure the 4-1 unit is securely attached and that the chassis
arm it sits on isn't bent up or down.

Hi Ian,
Yes I know there shouldn't be any variation in pitch. I remember
reading in another forum though a post from someone who'd found it
necessary(?) to twist the rotors slightly to increase the pitch. This
wasn't the Medevac but a similar heli. It does indeed have two sets of
rotors.
I'll double-check the 4-in-1 unit as you suggest.
Many thanks.
Tim.
