Hello I would like a bit of advise as to how to loosen the ball links on my
Raptor without having any special tool. I have had two servo failures and
I'm fairly certain its due to lack of smooth movement.

Thanks

They say you can take a pair of pliers and squeeze the link while it is on
the ball and that will loosen them up. You have to go easy or you can crack
the link etc. I have tried it and never had much luck. I finally bought a
ball link tool and now have perfectly smooth links and a great flying heli.

Thanks for that Philip I have tried the pliers trick and it has helped a bit
but still not as smooth as I would like, as you say I'm going have to source
a tool for the job.

Squeeze the outside of the link (while it's still on the ball) with
SMOOTH jawed pliers in a few different spots around the link.  Go easy
as you can crack/break the link or make it sloppy.

Either that or buy a sizing tool.

I once heard of another way.
Tak a spare ball and ball bolt, attach it to your drilling machine, add some
small imperfektions to the ball, and u now have a ball link smoothing tool.
