A bit help required here please.

After a fairly major ding and breaking tail boom on my Sabre I replaced the
boom.  Removed tail rotor motor put on new boom and re soldered the motor
up.

My problem is, after briefly checking everything to make sure it was ok in
my hand by starting it up(which initilally it seemed to be!)  I found after
a short time that the tail motor would not stop.  No control whatsoever.
Gyro effect had gone and cant get motor to stop.  Is it likely that the
receiver, ie gyro or speed controller has gone phutt or is the motor at
fault - I suspect the former. Not being terribly good with electronics and
the like I'm not too sure what to do.  Dont want to buy a new receiver at
£30 + if its the motor.
Thanks in anticipation.

By no control I take it to mean when you move the rudder (left stick)
left and right, the tail rotor spins at a steady speed, no change in
rpm?
I can't see it being the motor.
I would check the all the wiring (easiest stuff first) then the mixer,
see if it has a gain adjustment and proportion adjustment.
Something might have moved or shorted in the crash.
I'm no expert, but I didn't see any other replies.

Broken motors don't generally keep going, they stop. Well in the dimension I
live they do.

Cheers,
