Did you guys see the TV program "Maximum Exposure?"  WOW!
This guy is landing the coolest, 2 seater conventional (tail rotor) heli
I have ever seen.
He's 20 feet up, forward speed 5 mph, light breeze.
He slows to 2 mph as he drops to 10 feet, perfect control.
He hovers, zero mph, the skids are 3 feet off the ground, nice hover,
..THEN ...it flips up! ...goes to it's left side, ...the main rotors
are 90° from the ground!  At 20 feet up!!!!  I could just see the
skids and under belly!
The camera guy starts running, I'm not sure which direction, but all I
could see was sky, trees, earth, until it showed the cute little heli,
smashed up in a shallow ditch with 3 guys desperately trying to get the
injured pilot out of the wreckage.
It looked as bad as one of my RC disasters.
Man, did that thing ever flip out!!
Think I'll stick with RC's!

Was that the red Hughes 500 at a logging site? A huge Hawian guy picks the
front of the heli up after it lands in the ditch so the pilot doesn't drown?
If so, I saw it years ago and the pilot (strangely) gave up flying but
carried on INSTRUCTING.

Think I'll stick with RC's!

Did you see the one where an RC heli chopped all the fngers of one bloke's
hands off and then proceeded to take off the thumb on the other hand too?

I think I'll stick to staying in bed :-)
