Being new to the hobby and having to wait for the snow to melt here in NH. I
am sitting here pondering the following question. Does anybody make a heli
with 2 main rotors like the "chinook" troop carriers? I've never seen one
advertised?
If so how difficult would it be to fly?

Yup! Check out the Hirobo Vertol series.

I've got one of the original models. The model documented in the link is
what replaced what I've got. Mine is powered by a 30 size engine and uses a
rather complicated mechanical mix mechanism to control the two rotor
systems. The modern version in the link uses electronic mixes. Mine has a
pretty conventional feel in the hover. Yaw control is a little sluggish
compared to a standard main/tail rotor model but feels pretty normal
otherwise. Forward flight is a little strange compared to a single rotor
model but it's nothing that's not workable. They look totally cool in
flight and will have the attention of everyone around when you fire it up!
:-)
Hope this helps,
Steve R.

Check out Tech Model Product's TwinnRexx @ www.tech-mp.com.
Speaking with Joe Orlando @ TMP, he say's it's very stable and easy to
fly. Based primarily on Align's Trex 450 mechs with a custom frame
and electronics. I'm already on the list to buy one when they're
released sometime this summer. Initially there will be a CH47 fuse
available, with a CH46 to follow.
