My nephew, 20, has mastered the Twister Bell, he says (i havent seen him
fly) and he's after the next machine up.  He wants electric (hence my
question, or I'd suggest a Raptor) and his aim, ultimately, is 3D.  Any
suggestions?

Nice heli, but the parts are on the expensive side.

Trex450 is a good step up from the Twister..  Figure around $500-$800
to get one in the air including a decent transmitter.  $1200 for
top-notch stuff and a couple batteries..

You'll also need a charger capable of charging LiPo batteries and it'd
be a good idea to get a cell balancer as well..

If you go the Trex 600 route, be prepared to drop about $2,000 into
getting one airborne with batteries...
