Coaxial counter-rotating helicopters

Well,

I've been trying to learn to fly helicopters the safe way - I'm using
the Realflight G3.5 flight simulator program.

So far I've crashed most of the helicopters dozens of times, even the
one that is supposed to be the training model for beginners.

The one thing they have in there that I can fly pretty easily is
called the Heli-Max Axe EZ. It's different than the others because it
has two counter-rotating main rotors instead of a main rotor and a
tail rotor. Not only can I fly it without crashing it, I can even land
it on the picnic table!

I'm tempted to buy a real one, but I was really hoping to fly
something bigger. Are there any larger helicopters that have this
counter-rotating blades feature, and/or some other stabilization
mechanism that would make it easy for a guy like me to fly?

Thanks,
Frank

The Hobbyzone Blade CX2 is perfect.  I highly recommend the carbon
fiber tail boom mod.  Better cooling of the motor due to the removal
of the tail canopy leads to more stable performance and less wind
drift due to reduced drag.  Fly it indoors the first half-dozen
flights.

Thanks. I'll probably try it for a start - I still want to have
something bigger later. Hopefully my skills improve.

As an aside, would it be possible to stabilize a helicopter using
gyroscopes? I know that there's usually one to keep the tail pointed
in the right direction, but why not have others to stop it from
drifting horizontally?

You may mean one of these, but they aren't cheap.  Good for aerial
photography after you have learnt to flt though.

Where do you get the boom mod? I have found some pictures showing it
but no where to buy one.
