Welcome to the "real" world. The sim will only get you so far,
eventually you have to try the real thing.
This is normal. And after a few crashes, you'll find the real model
even more difficult if you don't know how to mechanically setup the
heli.

Eh? I have a Blade CX2 (in addition to others) and it doesn't fly
like that. Can't comment on the Rotofly helicopters specifically, but
I suspect they're similar.
It doesn't abruptly turn in random directions -- it might drift a
little here and there, but it's not abrupt. It takes off straight up
and down.
It sounds like they've got interference, or a faulty gyro? It doesn't
sound right. Perhaps it's not set up correctly, but that only
explains some of it.

Actually, I just realized that the RotoFly isn't what I thought it
was. I was thinking of the Heli-Max Axe EZ.
The RotoFly looks squirrelly ...
