Hi group!

I'm new here, and am just getting started into the Electric RC hobby...  You
guys seem to be the guys to talk too, but keep it simple for me to begin
with.  Some of these post seem like Japanese to me.  "Take the S450 and swap
the Gyro 210's with the Crymax 420's and put in a kanooter valve".  lol

Anyway, good to meet you guys!

Well, my question I'm going to put to you guys should probably be an easy
one, I hope....

I have a Blade CX, and like any rookie pilot, I've taken some hits in my 1st
week.  5 sets of uppers and 3 sets of lowers and 3 brass weights out of my
flybar, and all my body parts are cracked.  NOW I have bent my rotor shaft.
I believe inner AND outer.  It's not out of line to much, but she does
wobble.  The hazards of flying in confined spaces when your a n00b I
suppose.
Anyway, I am getting the hang of it now and figure I will start to swap out
parts and get it flying true again.  I do NOT want to go back to stock parts
since my skills are advancing.  I see the aluminum swash plates and other
parts but am unsure of what's good, and what's a waste.

What are your guys expieriences with these upgraded parts?  Where's the best
place to get them?  Is there a place I can just buy a kit and swap out the
rotor shafts, swash plate, and holders?  Are the folding blades good or
should I pass with me being so new??  I just want to get her to stop
wobbling and get it back into tip top shape now that I think I can fly it
with minimal collisions.

Thanks in advance and soft landings to all,

Doug

The `Inner Shaft With Aluminum Head/Hub (EFLH1240)' is very
worthwhile.  Not only does the stock hub break easily, it's expensive.
With this upgrade, it doesn't break, and if the shaft does bend, you
can replace it for half the price.

Other than that, I don't know.  I've seen the upgrades at
http://www.bladecx2.com/ and they look cool.  The longer shaft should
prevent blade clashes which would be a very good thing -- but if you
do all this stuff, you've spent as much as you did on the helicopter
in the first place, money that might be better spent on a better
helicopter.  And you'll have to get replacement parts from them, not
from the local hobby shop.

Stay with stock parts. Save your money and buy a CCPM heli. Upgrading
a CX seems like  a waste to me, unless that's where you want to stop
