HI.
Has anyone got a Raptor V2 & Ripmax 50th Aniversary FF6
I've not used mine for a couple of years and now my son is interested in it,
however having now replaced all the dead batteries the radio settings have
also been lost. Having spoken to someone at ripmax aparantly this can happen
?
Anyway, my question is, has anyone got this radio and heli?, could you post
your radio settings please so I might re-enter them into mine.
I've spend hours googling and gotten no-where, originally I built the heli
and took it back to the shop whereby the owner checked it over and finished
the setup for me, so i've never actually gone through the radio setup.
I visited the local field nearby to Dorking and all I got from one of the
'trainers' was you really shouldnt be using that radio there are much better
ones out there, yes perhaps I agree but for an entry level for my son I'm
sure its fine, he really wanted to sell me another radio and some lessons.
Another pilot was much more helpful and was able to give the aircraft the
once over and get it into the air but with his radio and he wasnt familular
with a FF6.
Can anyone point the way please,
Thanks,

I've got the heli, but not the radio. Try some of the RC forums out
there.. Here's a few links to start you off:

Raptor V2 great to learn on and progress onto more advanced flying.
Futaba FF6. Oh dear oh dear!
Its a plank set thats been bodged with the most basic of heli functions.
Try adjusting the pitch curves. Its a compromise nightmare.
Oddly enough its actually easier to set up for full 3d than as a
beginner setup.
Copying someone elses settings is also not really recommended. At worst
you might reverse a channel (eg.possibly because a link is on the other
side of servo)with disasterous results.)
you can use the FF6 as the buddy box to a better set with no problems.
Setup so all the settings are in the good set and all the buddy box is
providing is stick position info.
Hope that helps.
