Hi!

Just found this newsgroup and read some older posts. Thought of posting
my experience as a newbie!

Bought an e-Sky Comanche a few months ago. Flew a bit around and had to
buy quite some spare parts. :) But it's a funny small heli to start with
I think. But since my place is small and it's often a bit windy out
here, I decided to sell the Comanche and get a Belt CP.

Much bigger. Can't do much more than trying to hoover a bit. Hopping up
and down, putting it back to the ground before I fly into it.

I could fly the Comanche when it was really wind still. Had quite some
(cool) crashes when it wasn't.
The Belt is so big and nice, I'm a bit afraid to just go for it.
Installed my "custom" practice landing gear so it won't fall to the
sides. It seems a bit unstable, turning all the time, but I guess that's
the whole point with rc heli flying, right? :)

What are other people's learning curves?

Yeah, it's time to play on a sim first now. Found one for Mac even. Then
I have something to do while waiting for spare parts (or spare heli).
