Check that within Reflex that your pitch and throttle inputs are not swapped
in the sim.
It sounds like this is what's happening: Throttle Hold gets enabled - pitch
is pulled negative and so as you increase the throttle to pull yourself out
of it it falls to the ground faster.

Hello Chris,
thanks for the reply but im not sure that this is the problem. As soo
as i hit the throttle hold switch i seem to get full negative pitch
using the throtlle to increase pitch at this point seems to have n
effect.

In that case are you sure that Reflex is picking up the throttle and pitch
separately? I.E. they are not assigned to the same channel within the
software.
I don't have Reflex but know that FMS doesn't pickup the pitch but it does
pickup the throttle so that is exactly what happens if you try to use
throttle hold on that... the heli just drops to the ground as there is no
pitch or throttle input.
Try configuring a spare model memory on the TX from factory defaults just to
eliminate any inadvertently enabled mixing in the memory that you are using.
