I went to the LHS to get my son a beginners heli, got him a CX2, and they
had a blade CX 400 setting there for $419 just begging me to buy it.  I got
my son the CX2 and dad got the Blade 400.  The blade 400 responds like a
small heli (quick) but flies big (fast), a dangerous combination to $$$.
This thing goes like it must have a power to weight ratio as good as or
better than my 60's.  Awesome!  I'm more comfortable with my larger heli's
but the Blade 400 seems that it would have all the aerobatic capabilities
one could ask for.  A small mistake and the Blade 400 is taking it serious.
I think I need more Sim time!

I agree, I learned on and have been flying a Blade CP for the past year,
which I slowly converted to a Blade CP Pro.
The Blade 400 definitely has a lot of zip to it, and it flies like a Ferrari
compared to the CP. I'm actually on my second Blade 400, the ESC controller
caught fire on the first one after having it only a few days, and the 400
burned and melted (a total loss). I suspect the problem may have been a
short in the motor. Unfortunately I sent it back to Horizon using uuninsured
(but with track and confirm) USPS Priority Mail, and USPS seems to have
completely lost the package.  The way I understand it, no physical evidence,
no warranty replacement, but we'll see.
