Heli Starter Motor Help ???

Hi Folks,

Can anyone tell me the best type of " Cordless Drill " I can get , to use
starting my 90 size Heli and what is the best starter wand to fit the said
Drill ??  Sensible answers only please...............

There is no way to tell you the 'best' of anything, just use whatever
fits your budget for a cordless drill. They start from around £20 and go
up from there, as long as it turns the engine over fast enough (i.e. it
will turn a twist drill fast enough to drill through metal) it doesn't
need to be fancy (i.e. hammer action).

As for the starter wand; different helis require different adapters so it
would be helpful if you include your model in the post.

Ideally, the Cordless Drill should be chargable from a car battery, or have
a higher voltage than that.  If charging from a car is not an issue, go for
18-22 VDC.  Next, a two speed variable speed drill with reverse is nice.
Some have a locking Chuck that accepts hex shafts, others have the usual
Jacobs style chucks.
