Beav,
I remember of you knowing Badwater Bill Phillips, or at least communicating
with him on the newsgroup.  I didn't find out until recently that he died in
a plane crash, I think it was last fall if I remember correctly.  Anyway,
heres a link with some information, I saw it posted on the Homebuilt
newsgroup and thought you might be interested.

We had many a conversation (so to speak) on here Roger.

Indeed. I'll have a look at the link hopefully it'll still be working.

Interesting. Not sure I like this bit though "The report noted "other
significant conditions" of atherosclerotic coronary artery disease,
cardiomegaly, and acute mixed drug intoxication."

Lots of mentions of drugs used to control heart problems (Propranalol the
beta-blocker especially) but not reported at the time of his medical. Looks
like he may not have passed his medical if he's opened up about the true
state of his health.

Did the NTSB ever come to a concrete conclusion as to the cause? The reports
of things falling from the plane before the crash would appear to indicate a
possible baggage door open, but the report says nothing was open that
should've been closed. Odd.

Thanks for the heads up too Roger.
