I just got myself a Walkera 4g6 with the 2602 Tx. The heli is very
promising, but the Tx is absolute rubbish. In stead if getting a 2801,
I'm looking at the possibilities of replacing the included Rx/gyro
with a Rx and a gyro that can be used with my JR 9x (9303 in the US)
35MHz Tx.
But small and light is only part of the problem. I also need them to
be able to run off a single-cell LiPo (3.7V nominal, about 3V empty).
Are there such devices available?
I've looked at the Futaba GY520. It seems small enough, but the specs
say min. 3.8V, so that won't work.

There seems to be another option. I can get a voltage booster that
weighs only 3.5g. The servos can handle up to 4.5V. This should give a
much wider selection of receivers. It still needs to be light weight,
though. Any suggestions?
Also, it seems it is possible to separate the gyro from the Rx in the
factory combo device. If this works, I will not need to find a gyro
for the conversion.
