Hello people.

I Used to fly a Raptor 60 and a 30 VII but sold them on a few years back.

I am looking to purchase a sub-micro but I don't want to go and buy the
wrong one and could do with some advice as to what one will have what I need
and suit me best.

I am not a totally confident flyer but I can manouver about quite well - I
am not to 3D standards as of yet

I am looking for a heli with a blade diameter of around 200mm, A heading
Hold gyro, RTF or maybe ARTF, of good build design, can take a few crashes,
adjustable Transmitter settings, Brushless motors, metal alloy parts,
fly-bar head etc

What can anyone suggest and does anyone have anything or has seen anything
for sale that will fit my bill?

I already have a Micro-X but don't find it very good plus it's a
contra-rotating heli which is not really what I want.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
Jim

If you find anything THAT small, let us know.

I recently got a Walkera 4G6. It is 302mm rotor dia and 88g all-up
weight (claimed, I have not weighed mine yet). It seems to fly well,
but the 2602 transmitter is rubbish. I can't seem to get enough
negative pitch to fly inverted, unless I set it so that the servos
interfere with the rotor head. I have not flown the heli enough to
recommend it yet (looks promising, though), but I have seen enough of
the 2602 to recommend staying away from it. You can have the kit with
a better transmitter, the 2801. I have not seen one, so I can't
comment on it. In stead of buying a 2801, I am going to attempt a
conversion to "separates", so that I can fly using my existing, proper
Tx.

I have not seen it real life, but judging from the pictures, it looks
*very* much like a Walkera 4G3.

There's also the Buzzfly 3DS, which appears to be a 4G6.

Yeah, I saw that too but I have never liked shaft tails drives.  One boom
strike and it's lotsa money.
I have found a 1 month old 3D Pro setup on Ebay and now purchased it.  It
seemed to have everything I needed so I went for it.
Thanks
Jim
