My RD6000 radio system came with a 7 channel
receiver.  From what I understand, the 7th
channel position normally has the receiver
battery plugged into it.  In order to use the
7th channel, a Y adapter must be used.  My
question is this: can I use the 7th channel
to control my GV-1 governor speeds?

It depends on what the 7th channel does. If it's a rotary channel, you'll be
able to use the gov proportionally where the knob "dials in" any speed
between low speed (S1) and highest speed (S3) that you've programmed into
the gov.

If it's an "on-off" switch, it's not much use (IMO) but if it's a "two
conditions" switch (like the retract switch) then yep, you can set two
indivdual speeds with it.
