Hi,
I have a very old Tamiya Hornet that I would like to get runnng again.
The RC hand unit is an Airtronics SR series (Radio control system by
Sanwa). At first glance the parts I need are the Radio control box
that goes inside the car (the one that the servos plug, and antenna
into) and the box that hold 4 AA batteries inside the car (this also
plugs into the radio control box. Does anyone know where I can find
the parts? Thanks

These are all good sources for older Tamiya parts and information:

http://stores.ebay.com/TAMIYA-RC

http://stores.ebay.com/Jasons-Store

http://spazioinwind.libero.it/rubber_tires/index2.htm

But, it sounds like all you need is a radio receiver and battery box... you
should be able to use non-original parts without any problem.

You could even go to a BEC (Battery Elimination Circuit) setup which is what
most people use today.
