Hi.

I have the draganfly IV helicopter, which uses
11.1 V Li-Po batteries, with the connector
shown in this photo:
http://www.cooper.edu/~wolf/connector.jpg

Does anyone recognize the conector?
I've found a much cheaper source
for the batteries, but I need to get my
hands on several of the connectors,
since I have to mate the batteries
to the connector on the motherboard.

The vertical dimension (height) of the
connector is about 7/8 of an inch.

Thanks!

Looks slightly different to what I have seen but if you can get other
similar connectors more easily, don't be afraid of changing them over.  I
have been wiring up Boats/Cars/Helis and Planes using whatever connectors I
can get and I haven't had any problems yet.

Regards.........Mark.

If you read the post carefully, he is trying to match a connector on a
circuit board. Not so easy to just change connectors.
Sorry, I can't identify it either but you may  be able to find a
connector that will match the pin size and hole spacing...?

Walker...shows u didn't read the post properly coz if u had clicked in the
link,  u would have seen pictures of the connector he was talking about,
this has nothing to with the circuit board, just needs to change the
connectors on the end of the wire.....check it out first dumbwit...i know
what i'm talking about....been in this game since 1976...you probably
weren't even a squint in yer dad's eye then....!!

My point exactly Helilt...he was looking at wrong end of the wires...yes u
can change the whole lot if u need to but if u can get other matching
connectors then that is easier....I have been doing this for years and have
had no problems which is the point I was trying to make.

I have 3 Helis, eldest is now 22 years old, 2 planes, 1 Hovercraft, 3 Boats
(all electric) 1 Tank 19 years old , (electric with twin motors) and a new
nitro car under construction....(also have my nephews nitro car in for minor
repairs after last season....That was heavily modified by me too..goes very
fast now...!!) and a 3rd nitro car for my nephew also under construction,
custom built with all the extras)  I also have a new glider, flown for first
time last week, very successfully too, I designed it in 1982 and then
re-designed it in 1985 with modifications...drew my own plans for this,
finally built it Winter 2003 and flew prototype last week, for several hours
I might add....!!!  Taking it out again this weekend if the wind is
right...Flies like a Homesick Angel...!!!

How long have u been modelling....I have been doing this hobby since I was
13 (that was 1976 by the way) given the way things change rapidly in this
hobby these days, if a certain connector is not available you buy the next
best that is and those that match both ends of your battery leads...even if
u have to do some soldering yourself...connector plugs change all the time
but the wires don't....!!!!....I've been doing this for years with no
problem and am still going now...!!!
Now on my 28th year of modelling on my own...!!! (and many years before that
with me dad :))
My latest projecty is for my dad...DH2 Beaver 8ft span....One of the last
aircraft he flew before leaving the army.

rergards...........Mark.
