hello,

Are there any companies making r/c semi trucks around 1/18~1/24 scale?
I know tamiya makes them in 1/14 scale and  they're very expensive
(tractor+trailer and electronics=$800!!) I've seen some at the toy
store but they didn't have propo steering and wasn't very realistic.

Thanks,

Nick

Wiesco (hope I spelt that right). German company, fully electric R/C setups.
Mostly metal construction.
Very expensive. Got a catalogue from them once.

The name of the company from Germany is Wedico, and the local dealer is
Precision models. 1/15 scale. Check out www.Gardentrucking.com.

I have 14 Tamiya Semi's and 9 trailers, I have most of them posted on
Tamiyaclub.com. My showroom link is

Feel free to email me any ?'s you may have. I have a ton of R/C semi truck

That Tamiya is the only good one I know of.  I saw it at one of the
Vegas hobby shows and it was really impressive.

Yeah its real nice. I really wish they'd make a smaller/cheaper
version of it.

Go to  the www.diecast-trucks.net website.  They have 1/32 scale R/
semi Trucks as well as box trucks and dump trucks.  They look prett
neat and I ordered a peterbilt
R/C dump truck myself. Haven't received it yet but will post a revie
after I test it out.

i would like to get a 1/14 tamiya transport
unfortunatly the cost is so high
is there a way a person can get one a cheap way?
i've been looking at them for years, even looking at ebay
i don't mind scavenging parts here and there to get my truck, it's jus
the cost exceeds my income and it seems like they're aimed at buyer
with large incomes
anyone have ideas?

That's a tough one, as they all seem to be wildly overpriced, for
reasons that I personally don't see. I'm really not sure how they
justify $300+ for a TRAILER. .

I would bet one could but a semi truck/trailer model, and fit an
electric system in it for much less than what you pay for one, , that is
if you know how to do such a thing.
