Is there a simple (or even a not-so-simple) method one might use
to increase the output of a 49.860 MHz transmitter?  This is
used to control an M1A1 tank (Hobbyzone).  The indoor range is
about 15 m (50 ft) and I'd like to increase it to 45 m (150 ft).

What little I know of radio gear in general, is that output is controlled by
watts. At least that's how it goes in ham. The higher the power, the more
the output. You might ask a local ham radio shop if it's doable in a r/c
radio transmitter or not.
