I think the user interface on my Futaba P3J stinks, and I imagine it's
typical. Why don't the radio manufacturers just include a USB port on
their radios to allow third party software to provide a more friendly
programming experience for those of us who have relatively normal
earthling type brains? Once someone writes some software of course, but
this would quickly happen if an interface existed.

Now that I've said that, are there any radios that already have this?

Imagen you download the software and the day after you run your 1000$ race
agains the wall because of a software bug in the 3rd party s.w.

I love the interface for my Airtronics MX-3.  I don't know about other
radios, but I would definitely recommend this one.  I've found it very
easy to use.
