Ok everyone I am new to this fourm but I need some recomendations. I
currently have a HPI Savage SS but am looking into getting an on road car
such as the HPI RS3 EVO, OFNA CD3/LD3/OB4. Also I am possibly thinking of a
RTR but a kit is not out of the question as the Savage was a kit. I dont
particualy want to spend more than $300 to get it running (hence the RTR).
Please leave any comments suggestions you have about which car is best for
what i want to spend.

hi,
i just bought the BMW rs4 evo from hpi as my first on-road car 2 weeks
ago as an alternative to nitro rally. i'll leave you my 2 cents:

The car is easy to drive out of the box, tho the carb was waaaay too
rich, even for break in. I bought it mainly as a rear wheel drive
drifter project but driven as is with no adjustements,
suspension/handling is amazing(a bit soft in rear scrapes underside).
The t-15 engine with rotostart is a blast with the 2 speed.

the car is reliable so far, as ive only bent 2 dogbones and broke a
front hub (spare included in kit) in a doomed high speed drift into a
cement wall.
My only bitch is that the fuel tube was mounted rubbing on the spur
gear wich i think can be potentially dangerous and the fact that they
could include at least a cheap glow plug removal tool for the price
you pay.

I recommend it for the price, support and hop-up possibilities. great
car!
