Just thinking of getting into rc and wondered if anyone out there has
seen or played with, I think it's Team Losi Mini T 1/18th scale? I was
thinking of starting with one of these? How do you know whether to go
nitro or electric??

Thanks Hugo

Sure, that's fine.  I think it is a little harder to learn repair on a
really small model, but the Mini T has a generally good rep.  It was a
feeding frenzy last Xmas.  Many hop-ups available from Losi.

The stock mini-t with some decent shocks is more fun than you'd
expect.  Throw on a decent motor and/or battery and it's ridiculous
fun.   With brushless it's retarded fun.

If you don't know, I'd say electric.  And since Mini-T only comes in
electric that answers that question.
