Hello,

I am relatively new to R/C cars, but did have a Tamiya electric model many
years ago.  I am looking at two models, but would like to know more about
the pros and cons of each.  The two are the HPI Super Nitro RS4 (either
assembled or as a kit), or the Nitro RS4 3 EVO (assembled w/radio only).

I understand the "Super" may be easier to drive, due to the size and longer
wheelbase.  But it has an older, weaker engine, and single speed
transmission.

However, the Nitro RS4 3 EVO has some benefits it appears, such as a "Rota
Start System", 2 speed transmission, shaft drive (vs. belt of the "Super"),
newer engine design, prepainted body, and designed with easy cleaning in
mind.  I see the radio is AM which I understand is not as desirable as FM.

I am not too worried about the purchase price, but am more concerned with
drivability, dependability, ease of use and maintenance.  All out
performance is not a priority.  The car will not see any competition.  I
need something a novice can control without too much difficulty.  Some
hop-up potential would be nice.
