question about Novak's brushless system...

compare to 8-turn double motor, which one is faster? is anyone using
it? i used to have a brushless motor made by germany company.. it
always stop when the motor is overheated... does Novak has the same
problem?

I've got one, and it's not designed to be as fast as an 8t double. They will
be releasing a "racing" version in the future- as well as a "monster truck"
model.

I think it's comparable to a 12t. Mine hasn't overheated, but I've stuck
with the gearing charts they have made available. I'm in Texas, so ambient
temps have been quite high!

The Novak Super Sport is calibrated to work just like a 10-turn
brushed motor. Of course, the Super Sport is maybe 75% efficient,
while the brushed motor will be less than 50% efficient.

Sounds like the ESC is shutting down to temperature. The RC Car Action
test ran the motor pretty hard (full throttle in a touring car geared
for speed, until the battery dumped) and they didn't have any shutdown
problems.
